On November 3 (Wed., holiday), a screening of the movie "The Story of Hachi and Parma" was held at the prefectural theater "Renessa Nagato" in Nagato City. Filichagina Liliya, a member of the Nagato City Community Development Cooperation Team (in charge of international exchange), promoted the movie before the screening.
The film, a Japan-Russia co-production, depicts a real-life emotional exchange between Palma, a dog waiting for its owner at the airport, and Korya, a boy who is grieving the loss of his mother. Liliya, who came from Nagato's sister city Sochi, Russia, said, "This film is a story about love in various forms. I hope you will enjoy the emotions I felt from this film as much as I did.
Liliya took the stage with a stuffed animal of Palma. The real name of Parma's actor-dog is "Liliya.
The upcoming screenings include the Spanish film "Nobody's Favorite Champion" (to be screened on February 23, 2022) and the Korean film "Harmony: A Song that Links Hearts" (to be screened on May 8, 2022). The lineup continues to be rich in international color.
