On December 22 (Wed.), a "hot water filling ceremony" was held at Akiyoshidai Safariland in Mine City.
Every year, on the winter solstice, Akiyoshidai Safariland presents capybaras with hot water from Yuda Onsen Hot Spring.
This year, they will float Nagato Yuzukichi, an original citrus fruit from Yamaguchi Prefecture.
This page presents the first meeting between the capybara and Yuzukichi Nagato.
The "Nagato Yuzukichi" was provided by the "Nagato Yuzukichi no Kai," a group made up of Nagato Yuzukichi producers.
Chairman Kenji Sugimoto participated in the hot water filling ceremony and floated "Nagato Yuzukichi" in the hot water of Yuda Onsen.
The "Capybara Hot Springs" are now open.
As visitors watched, four capybara parents and their children emerged from the house.
Surprised by the large number of visitors and media representatives, the capipala steps forward to the hot springs. This is the first meeting with Yuzukichi Nagato.
However, it was an unusually warm day with unusually high temperatures.
Perhaps because of this, it was not cold enough for the capiparas to get into the hot spring water.
A capypara bathing in a hot spring, surrounded by Nagato Yuzukichis. Unfortunately, we could not see it this time.
If there is an opportunity next year, I hope to see capiparas being healed in the floating hot springs of Nagato Yuzukichi.
