Program featuring "great books" airing every Monday from 10:25 p.m.

NHK E-television's "100 Minutes de Meitoku" program will feature the children's song poet Misuzu Kaneko in its January broadcast (the first broadcast will be on Monday, January 10). The program airs every Monday from 22:25 to 22:50, and "100 minutes de Meisaku" is a month-long (25 minutes x 4 times = 100 minutes) reading of "great books" from all ages and cultures.

The program will be hosted by TV personality Hikaru Ijuin and announcer Michiko Abe, with author/translator Yuko Matsumoto as the "guiding light. The program will also include a poetry reading by actor Shizuka Ishibashi, and will discuss the world of Misuzu Kaneko as well as the Japanese culture of "Doyo" (children's songs).
