On Tuesday, January 25, Nagato Yumoto Onsen Machi Co. announced the postponement of the "Onshin River Utaakari 2022" event.

The "Ontoshin River Utaakari 2022" is a light-up event in Nagato Yumoto hot spring resort scheduled to be held from January 28 (Fri.) to February 27 (Sun.), 2010. The decision to postpone the event was made after discussions based on the rapid increase in the number of people infected with the Omicron strain of the new coronavirus nationwide and the expansion of areas subject to "filling measures to prevent the spread of the disease" throughout Yamaguchi Prefecture, which was requested by the government on January 24 (Monday).

The new date and the photo contest that was to be held at the same time as the event have not yet been determined, but will be announced on the " Nagato Yumoto Onsen Sightseeing Information Website " as soon as they are determined.
