On September 1 (Thu), a ceremony was held to commemorate the opening of the "Nagato Comprehensive Cultural Properties Center (nicknamed "Historia Nagato")" in Higashi-Fukagawa, Nagato City.

Historia Nagato is a facility for collecting, preserving, and utilizing cultural assets related to the nature, history, and culture of Nagato City. Various cultural assets related to Nagato City are on display.
At the ceremony, guests planted a sapling of a natsumikan (*) to commemorate the opening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held, and an erhu (Chinese violin) performance was held.
(*)DNA identical to that of the "Dahibi Natsumikan Original Tree," a national historic site and natural monument located in the Dahibi district of Qinghai Island.
On the first floor, there are mainly exhibits on the theme of life and climate in the ancient, medieval, and Edo periods, and there is also a VR corner where visitors can enjoy videos of the city's famous sights and historic sites.
On the second floor, there is an exhibition of the Senzaki area when it was used as a repatriation port immediately after World War II, as well as displays of geological materials and fossils. A special exhibition section is also available.
Historia Nagato" is a place where you can experience the history, climate, and culture of Nagato City. Admission is free, so please stop by when you visit the city.
