This weekend, on October 17 (Sat.), at the Nagato Railway Department Operation Branch in the south of Nagato Station, we will hold the Nagato Railway Festival This weekend, on Saturday, October 17, "Nagato Railway Festival" will be held at "Nagato Railway Department Operation Branch" located south of Nagato Station. There will be many events related to the Nagato Railway Department, including an exhibition of working trains and a commemorative photo session in the driver's seat of a train car for elementary school students and younger. Nagato's specialty, yakitori (grilled chicken), will also be on sale. Not only railroad enthusiasts, but also families will enjoy the event! Why not stop by? IMG_2808 IMG_2823 Date & Time: October 17, 2015 (Sat) 10:00-15:00 (Doors open at 9:40) ■Venue: Nagato Railway Department Operation Branch Office (south side of Nagato Station) ■Contents: ●Railway Video Broadcast ●Working Car Exhibit ●Railway Car Ride Experience *For elementary school students and younger: 20 in the morning, 20 in the afternoon. If there are too many applicants, a drawing will be held to determine the winners. Please apply at the reception desk at the entrance on the day of the event ● Mini Shinkansen train ride ● Railroad crossing safety device operation experience ● Driving simulator experience ● Railroad goods exhibition ● Railroad photo exhibition ● Commemorative photo with panel showing faces ● Plarail demonstration and N gauge display ● Bazaar with yakitori, reissued station lunch boxes, railroad goods, etc. scheduled ● Visitor gifts Elementary school students and younger: soap bubbles and game tickets (first 300 visitors) Junior high school students and older: coal for the Yamaguchi Line SL (first 200 visitors) ●Coloring presents will be given to those who bring their own coloring books! For elementary school students and younger: Color in the "Stoppi-kun" coloring book left at Nagato City Station, Higashihagi Station, and Mine Station, and bring it to the reception desk at the entrance to the venue, and the first 200 visitors will receive a present.
