On Tuesday, November 17, the number of visitors to the Kaneko Misuzu Memorial Museum reached 1.5 million! The 1.5 millionth visitor was Junko Takahashi from Osaka Prefecture. She came to the museum with her mother, Satoko, and her sister, Yuko. At the ceremony to commemorate the 1.5 millionth visitor, after the breaking of the smashed glass ball, Mayor Onishi presented her with a bouquet of flowers, and Director Setsuo Yazaki presented her with a copy of "The Complete Works of Misuzu Kaneko's Children's Songs". It has been 4,456 days since the memorial center opened on April 11, 2003, reaching 1.5 million visitors in 12 years and 8 months. After the ceremony, a "Misuzu mini-concert" was held in the museum, in which children from Misuzu Nursery School sang the melodies to the poems of Ms. Misuzu.
