Today (June 15, 2017), we started accepting entries for the "Nagato Photo Contest 2017" (5th Nagato City Tourism Photo Contest)!
The Nagato Photo Contest 2017 is a photo contest calling for entries of photographs that convey the charms of Nagato, and this year marks the fifth time the contest has been held.
This year, the "Web Page Submission Section" for amateur photographers will be renamed the "My Nagato Section" and entries will be accepted under three themes ("Shining Nagato," "Fun Nagato," and "Nagato is Heard"). This year, we will be accepting submissions from amateur photographers under three themes ("Shining Nagato," "Fun Nagato" and "Nagato is audible").
Shining Nagato" is about the beautiful scenery of the city, "Fun Nagato" is about the events and delicious food experienced in Nagato City, and "Nagato can be heard The "Nagato can be heard" category is for people to express the "sounds" they hear in the city.
In addition, the "Instagram Submission Category" for smartphone users, which was newly established last year, is titled "Watashi to Nagato Category" and is looking for photos of travel memories, interesting ideas, and other photos in which the photographer has freely approached Nagato's scenery with his or her own ideas.
In the "My Nagato" category, a "Period Award" will be given every three months for each theme, and in the "Me and Nagato" category, a "Monthly Award" will be given once a month (each award will be accompanied by a local specialty as an extra prize).
At the end of the application period, a grand prize winner will be selected from the periodic and monthly awards in each category, and the winner of the "My Nagato Category" will receive a cash prize of 50,000 yen, and the winner of the "Me and Nagato Category" will receive 30,000 yen (with extra prize).
