Summer in Nagato is full of hot events!

Sea, mountains, sun... Nagato City in Yamaguchi Prefecture, blessed with nature, is full of family-friendly summer events!
7 ・Introduce summer events held in August as "Nagato Summer Festa"!
Every week, festive summer events are held in Nagato.
Come visit this event that is as hot as the hot summer!

Event List

7/1 (Sat.) 18:00-21:00 / Yumoto Onsen Otoshin River River Park
A variety of events and stalls will make the night of Onsen spa town exciting.

7/2 (Sun.) 10:00-14:00 / Fuji Nagato Store
A lineup of local gourmet foods from Nagato. The No.1 gourmet of Nagato will be decided by your vote.

7/16 (Sun) 9:00-13:00 / Dori Koura Reclaimed Land
Don't miss the sight of men in red loincloths heroically challenging the whales.

7/16 (Sun.) 10:00 - / Fukagawa Bay, Sawayaka Beach
Various events including a kids' triathlon, mainly a round-the-island yacht race on Aomi Island.

July 23 (Sun.) 20:30-21:30 / Senzaki Coastal Avenue
About 3,000 fireworks will be shot into the night sky. The fireworks display is very close to the viewing point, making it a very powerful event!

8/5 (Sat) 18:00-21:30 / Senzaki Misuzu Street
Misuzu Street will be filled with about 200 bamboo grass decorations and a variety of stalls.

8/6 (Sun) 10:00-14:30 / Hioki Senjojiki
Mountain bike race will be held at Senjojiki overlooking the Sea of Japan.

8/11 (Fri., holiday) 18:00-22:00 / Yumoto Hot Spring Resort
Bon dance held at Nagato Yumoto Onsen, a hot spring resort with a steamy atmosphere. There will also be fireworks and a "Seirei Nagashiro" (spirit floating down the river).

8/14 (Mon.) 18:30-21:00 / Aburaya Sports Park
This is a music, fireworks, flame and laser show competition titled "Yanggui Fireworks Fantasy".

8/15 (Tue) 17:00-21:00 / In front of Tawarayama Kumano Shrine
A festival with an intimate atmosphere will be held at Tawarayama Onsen, a famous hot spring therapeutic bath.

Aug. 26 (Sat.) & 27 (Sun.) 10:00 - 18:30 (*until 16:00 on Aug. 27) / Around Minato Market
Famous "Gotochi Yakitori" restaurants from all over western Japan will gather in Nagato!
