On June 3 (Sun), under the theme of "Nagato Yumoto's Treasure Hunt," a photo session x walk event "YUMOTO PHOTO" was held to allow many people to discover and experience the charms of Nagato Yumoto Onsen.

This time, four photography enthusiasts who love to use film cameras and are active in the prefecture participated. The starting point was Nagato Yumoto Station.

Although they have taken pictures in Nagato City, including Motonosumi Shrine and Higashi Gobata Tanada, this was the first time for them to walk around Nagato Yumoto like this. The station building gave off a "retro vibe," they said, and immediately took a commemorative photo.

From the station, we walked approximately 500 meters to the hot spring resort. On the way, looking at the hot spring resort from the Yumoto Ohashi Bridge, the first thing that caught my eye was the bridge, the river promenade, and the railroad tracks. I heard people saying, "I want to take a picture at that spot.

This is the point where two railroad crossings can be seen at the same time. The person standing in the back is not on the railroad tracks, but on the old approach leading from the hot spring area to Daneiji Temple.

Continue through the hot spring resort area to the site of Onyu.

At the top of the hill is "Rei-yu" and up the stairs is "Sumiyoshi Shrine. When the stairs came into view with the sun shining through the trees, we heard voices saying, "I just want to go up there.

From here, we will go to the river promenade. The camera will capture a different view than on the bridge.

The "gangi plaza" and "stepping stones" near the "Kirakira Bridge" completed this spring are fun places to walk and take pictures.

Taken from the Kirakira Bridge.

The view from sitting in the plaza is different.

The stairs colored by the sunlight filtering through the trees and the shadows of the bridges. On this day, we encountered views that can only be seen under blue skies.

Turn around at the stepping stone in front of Otani Sanso and continue on the trail again.

In the city, they stop and point their cameras at the point where they each feel they want to take a picture.

The various trees, flowers and berries that grow along the river also stop you in your tracks.

At the Ondonokawa River Park, we soaked in the footbath to relieve the fatigue of walking.

The last stop was cafe&pottery Oto.

Resting at the "oriza" facing the Onshin River, we look at the approximately 3 km we have walked.

The "Yumoto lanterns" attached to the eaves of stores and private homes and the nostalgic atmosphere of the storefronts made the participants want to stop and take pictures, and they were able to fully enjoy the photo shoot. We are very much looking forward to the day when the developed photos will be delivered to us.

We hope that many people will continue to enjoy the "Nagato Yumoto Treasure Hunt" found through the camera as we share the photogenic scenery.
