Please be aware of traffic congestion.

Please refrain from parking on the street! Please do not park on the streets near the shrine: parking on the streets near the shrine will prevent large vehicles from coming and going and will cause further traffic congestion. Please be sure to use the parking lot.

We are currently receiving many visitors to Motonosumi Shrine in Nagato City, and in some cases it may take hours to get into the parking lot. The second parking lot is about 200 meters away from Motonosumi Shrine. Please be careful when you come to the site.

Please refrain from coming after sunset as the surrounding streets are narrow and there are no street lights.

Request to ease traffic congestion

In order to alleviate this traffic congestion, we will also be closing the area around the shrine to vehicular traffic as follows.

Passenger cars (116 vehicles) 300 yen per hour 100 yen for each additional hour, up to 500 yen
・Buses (6 vehicles) 1,500 yen per visit
・Motorcycles (approx. 20 vehicles) 100 yen per visit
