At last, it is now possible to ride a "tandem bicycle" with two passengers on public roads in Yamaguchi Prefecture!

The Nagato City Tourist Information Center, YUKUTE Bicycle Rental Service, will also start renting "tandem bicycles" on October 1!

How to use

　(1) Rental Conditions
Pilot (person in front seat) ...　A person over 16 years old who straddles the front seat and has both legs installed
Co-pilot (person in the back seat) ... A person who straddles the back seat and has both feet planted (generally 140cm or taller)

②When using the service
・Please put on a helmet as we will lend you a helmet.
　　Please put on a helmet.
　　　If you cannot stand on the saddle, it is dangerous and we cannot lend you a saddle.
　　If you are a first-time user, you will be asked to test ride and practice.
　　　If the staff determines that the bicycle is dangerous, we may refuse to rent it to you.
　　Riding rules are different from those for regular bicycles. Please obey the road traffic laws and ride safely, paying attention to your speed.
　　　Please be sure to read the attached "Precautions for Safe Use of Tandem Bicycles.

Requests for lending

　　Please note that the Association is not responsible for accidents.
　　Always lock your bicycle when you leave it.
　　The actual cost of theft or damage will be charged.

Tips for safe driving

　　When starting, stopping, or turning, be sure to call out to each other.
　　When getting on, start from the person in front and when getting off, start from the person in the back.
　　If you are unsure of how to drive and feel insecure, stop and disembark immediately.
