Senzaki Toro Aji" is one of Nagato City's proud brand fish. Have you heard of it? This is a system in which the "horse mackerel," which is in season this time of year, is measured for fat content using an analyzer, and when the average fat content reaches 10% or more, the fish is declared to be "Senzaki Toroajimi," a brand name for the season. Today, the Senzaki Toro Aji was declared in season! IMG_7376The eyes are clear and the whole fish is sparkling. The eyes are clear and sparkling, proof that the fish is fresh and full of fat. IMG_7380IMG_7385Senzaki Toro horse mackerels have started to appear in stores like this. It can be purchased at retail stores in the city or at Umisachi Senzaki, a store on Aomi Island. Please note that depending on the catch, you may not be able to find it on the shelves. Incidentally, there is an event where you can try this Senzaki Toro Aji as a trial.
