Zazen experience at Daneiji Temple, a famous Soto Zen temple.

You may have to get up a little earlier than usual, but zazen in the quiet air is sure to be a pleasant and relaxing time to face yourself. Zazen is available every Monday through Friday morning at Daneiji Temple.

Daineiji Temple
After zazen, take a leisurely stroll around the temple grounds.
Daneiji Temple, an old Soto sect temple founded in 1410 by the Ouchi clan, is known as the "Koya of the West" for its grandeur and beauty. During this season, when the air is clean and the streams are murmuring, a leisurely stroll through the temple grounds will refresh your spirit.

Hagiyaki experience

Bansekigama, a Hagi-yaki pottery kiln, is located right next to Daneiji Temple. Even if it is your first time to experience pottery making, you will be accompanied by an instructor. You can make your own original Hagiyaki.
