As of July 31, 2017, the Higashi Gohata terraced rice fields in mid-summer.

Rice in the paddies is growing vigorously, and the green color looks great against the bright blue sea and sky of midsummer.
The area around the spot is also filled with the chorus of various cicadas, a true "Japanese summer" scene.

What is Higashi Gohata Terraced Rice Field...

Higashi Gohata Terraced Fields
It is one of the most spectacular spots in the country where you can see terraced rice fields, fishing fires, and the sunset at the same time.
The best time to see the fishing fires and rice paddies is from late April to June each year.

Shooting conditions

On Saturday nights, when the weather is bad, there are fewer fishing fires because many people do not fish.
The fishing season begins in mid-May.
The reflection of the paddy field changes as the rice grows in stages from June onward.
After September, the fishing grounds gradually move offshore, and the fishing fires become more distant.
