Tawarayama Onsen | Hotaru (Firefly) Bus Service (Starting May 30)

The "Hotaru Bus" will be in service on weekends from Saturday, May 30 to Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Tawarayama Onsen in Nagato City.

During this period, the bus will depart from "Fukuda Sengetsudo" at Tawarayama Onsen at 8:15 PM and run to "Shichijugawa Riverside Park" in Tawarayama Shichiju.

At the Shichiju River flowing along the park, visitors can enjoy the mystical sight of Genji-botaru (Genji Firefly) dancing in the night sky with large beads of light.

Please take this opportunity to visit Tawarayama in early summer.

Service Dates: Saturday, May 30; Sunday, May 31; Sunday, June 7; Saturday, June 13; and Sunday, June 14, 2026

Boarding Location: In front of Fukuda Sengetsudo (5077 Tawarayama [Yumachi], Nagato City)

Service Time: From 8:15 PM (Travel time: approx. 20 minutes one way)
