Hachimangu Shrine where various performing arts are dedicated
It is the general guardian deity of the Misumi and Tori villages, and was invited from Usa Hachimangu Shrine in Kyushu during the Kamakura period (1185-1333). The shrine is held in April and September as a "ritual of the god of rice fields and mountains," which has been handed down in farming villages from the olden days. At the autumn festival, the Koshiwa Odori (Koshiwa Dance) and Kagura Dance, designated as a prefectural intangible cultural asset, are dedicated by the preservation group.
