The facility was renovated in January 2008 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Meiji Restoration!
The museum introduces the footprints and achievements of Murata Seifu and Shufu Masanosuke, who played a central role in reforming the domain government and laid the foundation for the Meiji Restoration in the midst of the turbulent political climate at the end of the Edo period, through their belongings and documents.
