Nagato Yumoto Onsen “Onshin River Utaakari 2025” is being held (~3/9)

Opening Ceremony at Onyu

The "Onshin River Utaakari 2025" is now being held at Nagato Yumoto Onsen.
This is a light event themed on a poem by "Misuzu Kaneko," a children's song poet from Nagato City.

Yesterday (1/31), the first day of the event, an opening ceremony was held at Onyu, a drop-in hot spring in Nagato Yumoto Onsen.

At the ceremony, Shuichi Ito, representative of Nagato Yumoto Hot Spring Town Corporation, as well as Tatsuya Ehara, mayor of Nagato City, and Toshiya Kasamoto, a member of the Yamaguchi Prefectural Assembly, delivered remarks.

In addition, Hayato Kimura, Area Manager of Nagato Yumoto Onsen Machi Co., Ltd. introduced the town development of Nagato Yumoto and its approach to "Onshin River Utaakari," and Shiho Nagamachi, creative director and lighting designer for "Onshin River Utaakari," introduced highlights of the event.

In the latter half of the ceremony, children from the local Mukaiyo Elementary School introduced their efforts for "Onshin River Uta Akari" and performed a marching performance.

Finally, at the lighting ceremony, a countdown was held with the participation of guests and children from Koyo Elementary School.
When the lights lit up on cue, the audience applauded and many people took pictures of the fantastic scenery.

This event will be held every day until Sunday, March 9, so please come and join us.
