The special exhibition "Revival of Misuzu Kaneko: 57 Years of Her Life" is currently being held at the Kaneko Misuzu Memorial Museum in the Senzaki district (until April 27 [Thursday]).
This exhibition commemorates the 120th anniversary of the birth of Misuzu Kaneko, a children's song poet from the Senzaki area, and the 20th anniversary of the opening of the museum, and looks back on the "Revival of Misuzu Kaneko" activities conducted by Director Setsuo Yazaki to revive her works.
The panels at the exhibition will feature selected poems by Misuzu and handwritten comments by the Yazaki government office on them.
Textbooks featuring Ms. Misuzu's poems are lined up in the display boxes, indicating that her works are well known not only in Japan but also in other countries around the world.

In addition, a curatorial lecture entitled "Misuzu and Searching for Flowers on the Roadside" will be held at the Memorial Hall on Sunday, March 12. Seven poems will be introduced according to the theme, allowing visitors to experience the world of Ms. Misuzu from the perspective of "flowers and grasses. Please come and visit us.
