Local yakitori from all over Japan gather at Nagato!

Yakitori Japan Festival 2023 in Nagato" is being held today (Saturday, August 26) and Sunday (August 27) at the Minato Fish Market in the Higashi-Fukagawa district. This gourmet festival brings together 17 famous yakitori restaurants from all over Japan in Nagato City, one of the "6 major yakitori towns in Japan," each offering their own special menu. This is one of the most popular events in Nagato, attracting visitors not only from within the city and prefecture, but also from outside the prefecture.

Venue

Today, the first day of the event, many people visited the venue from the morning.

The opening ceremony was held and the event finally started at 10:00!

Even before the start of the event, a line had already formed at the restaurant, showing the visitors' passion for yakitori.

Stores were in full operation even before the start of the event. The yakitori sold like hotcakes.

A food court is set up in the market facility, where visitors can eat their purchases.

Non-Yakitori Events

In addition to 17 yakitori restaurants, there are also stalls set up by local restaurants and organizations at the venue.

On the stage, there were live performances by artists from the prefecture, a children's rock-paper-scissors tournament, and other events that could be enjoyed along with the food.

Volunteer staff supporting the event

Many volunteer staff members from local students and companies participated in the "Yakitori JAPAN Festival in Nagato," helping to set up and run the festival on the day of the event. Everyone worked hard in the heat that was still going strong.
