Be a time traveler...
Yamaguchi Prefecture is rich in beautiful old maps created by the Choshu clan's cartographers and others.Looking at these old maps and walking around castle towns and post towns with a local guide, you can see the streets and townscapes of bygone days and the way of life of people beyond time. With an old map in hand, come and visit an Edo Period town.
Introducing 4 time slip experiences in Nagato
△ - Senzaki, a port town of Kitamae Ship and Whale Gang -
Dates: September 2017 - December 2018, 2nd Sunday and 4th Saturday of the month.
△ - Tawarayama, a town of hot springs loved by the feudal lords -
Dates: September 2017 - December 2018, 1st Sunday and 3rd Saturday of the month
△ - Dori, a fishing town that lived with whales -
Dates: September 2017 - December 2018, 1st and 3rd Saturdays
△ - Misumi, the hometown of Murata Seifu, who promoted the Tempo Reforms -
Dates: September 2017 - December 2018, 1st Sunday and 3rd Saturday of the month
About the Campaign
Presented with an "Old Map Leaflet."
Participants will receive an "old map leaflet" of the participating courses as a special offer!
A stamp rally is also held!
Let's walk around town with an old map in hand. Participate in the "Choshu Kaido Guided Walk*" and collect stamps!
For 15 stamps or more, you will receive a complete box with all 28 types of old map leaflets. (Limited to once per person)
