Three posthumous manuscript notebooks are now on view at the Misuzu Kaneko Memorial Museum in the Senzaki district. These notebooks contain 512 of Misuzu's poems that are currently available in the world, all handwritten by Misuzu herself. Due to the deterioration of the notebooks, they are usually stored in a different location, but in commemoration of the 120th anniversary of Misuzu Kaneko's birth, they are now open to the public for a limited period of time.
A restored replica of her kimono, based on scraps of the kimono she wore when she was 20 years old, is also on display at the same time.
The exhibition will be open until Tuesday, April 11, Misuzu's birthday. Please visit the exhibition together with the ongoing special exhibition "Revival of Misuzu Kaneko: 57 Years of Her Life".
