We are pleased to announce that two of Nagato City's tourist attractions, Higashi Gobata Terraced Rice Field and Senninjiki, have been awarded the "2019 Certificate of Excellence" within TripAdvisor.
This certification is awarded to tourist and lodging facilities that meet the three criteria of "maintaining an overall rating of 4 or higher," "receiving a minimum number of reviews," and "being listed for at least 12 months" on TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel site that provides travel advice from travelers to travelers.
The scene of countless fishing lights of squid fishing boats shining on the setting sun of the Sea of Japan is so beautiful that many photographers visit the area every year to capture this scene with their cameras. Higashi Gobata Terraced Rice Paddies, selected as one of the 100 best terraced rice paddies in Japan, was one of the sites of the "National Rice Terrace Summit" held in the city on October 13 (Sun.) and 14 (Mon.), and many people from all over Japan visited the site to take a tour.
SENJIATATSUKI is a meadow spreading out on a plateau at an elevation of 333 meters above sea level. Below you can see islands in the Sea of Japan and a panoramic view of the endless sea and sky. It is also popular as a campsite for viewing the spectacular scenery.
