Nagato City, located in the northern part of Yamaguchi Prefecture, is known for its scenery of sea and mountains and five distinctive hot springs, including Motonosumi Shrine with its 123 torii (shrine gates) along the sea and Nagato Yumoto Onsen, the oldest hot spring resort in Yamaguchi Prefecture, which will undergo a complete renovation in spring 2020.
Prior to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the number of visitors from East Asia had been increasing year after year in this city due to the "Motonosumi Shrine," and the city is now preparing for the time when inbound demand will expand again, not only domestically but also in the future.
On this page, we would like to introduce major contents, menus, and accommodations, focusing on "sightseeing," "experience," and "lodging" in Nagato City. For inquiries about tour planning, please contact the Nagato City Tourism & Convention Association.

In conjunction with a visit to the Hagiyaki Fukagawa Kiln, a local traditional craft with a history of approximately 400 years, you can also enjoy a cup of tea in a Hagiyaki bowl.
You can enjoy a special café time on the terrace "Kawadoko" above the river while looking at the "Onshin River" flowing in front of Otani Sanso. The menu includes "homemade bread set" and "clubhouse sandwiches", which are served with coffee.
