On November 3 (Wed., national holiday), the second certification ceremony for "Nagato Tourism Concierge" was held at Nagato City Hall. The "Nagato Tourism Concierge" is an initiative to train personnel who can provide "hospitality" to tourists to Nagato, just like a "concierge" in a hotel or department store.

The 29 people who have been certified are those who completed training to improve their tourism knowledge and hospitality from last year to this year. A wide range of people from the city participated in the course and received certification, including those involved in tourism at inns and transportation-related businesses, as well as various other occupations and individuals.

At the ceremony, each concierge was handed a certificate and pin badge, and organizations that participated as a business office were presented with a "certification plate.

In addition, Mr. Otani, chairman of the Nagato City Tourism and Convention Association, and Mr. Ehara, mayor of Nagato City, each sent a message to the concierges in hopes that they would play an active role in after-corona tourism.

In the future, the new tourism concierges will apply the knowledge and skills they have learned to hospitality at their respective stores and offices, and will also be active as billboards for Nagato City at tourism PR events, media appearances, and other promotional activities.
