Historia Nagato Special Exhibition: “The Ancient Mystery of Mukatsukuni’s Hilted Slender Bronze Sword”

Important Cultural Property "Hilted Slender Bronze Sword" - First Public Display in Yamaguchi Prefecture!
A special exhibition commemorating the 70th anniversary of its designation as an Important Cultural Property is being held at Historia Nagato in Nagato City.
The "Hilted Slender Bronze Sword," discovered in Yuya, Nagato City in 1901, is an extremely rare masterpiece with the blade and hilt cast as a single piece. It is a precious cultural property, with only five examples confirmed nationwide.
Following conservation treatment, the actual artifact is being displayed to the public for the first time in 33 years. Additionally, artifacts from the Yoshinogari Site in Saga Prefecture and replicas of similar bronze swords are also on display.

Try Making a Miniature Bronze Sword!
During the exhibition period, Historia Nagato is holding workshops where participants can create miniature bronze swords by pouring molten metal into molds.
