Terraced rice paddies are usually located in mountainous areas, but in this area, the hills on the peninsula extend close to the coast, offering a view of the Sea of Japan below. The sight of countless fishing lights from squid fishing boats shining on the setting sun of the Sea of Japan is so beautiful that many photographers visit this area every year to capture the scene with their cameras.
