The Fukagawa Myoken Minato Festival was held today (May 3 (Fri., national holiday)) at the Minato Fisheries Cooperative Market in the Fukagawa district.

This festival is held every year during Golden Week and features a marché by local restaurants and a hands-on corner for children to enjoy.

Other events included a parade of fishing boats with big fishing flags and "Mochimaki" (rice cake throwing). The first day of the second half of the Golden Week holiday season was a beautiful sunny day, and many families gathered to enjoy the festival.
