Summer Festival at Tawarayama Onsen

Today (Tuesday, August 15), the Tawarayama Onsen Noryosai 2023 was held in the Tawarayama hot spring resort area. This is the summer festival of the hot spring resort. In addition to food and drink stalls, yo-yo fishing, goldfish scooping, and other fair activities, there will be live music, a karaoke contest, Bon Odori dancing, and a raffle.

Venue

Unfortunately, the weather was rainy. Light rain continued to fall, getting stronger and weaker repeatedly. Although the weather was not so favorable, many people still came and enjoyed the festival.

Live music and karaoke contest

From 18:00, it was time for a live performance on stage. Mimimi Shokudo, who came all the way from Kansai, and YOU, a singer-songwriter who composed the "Tawarayama Onsen no Uta" (Song of Tawarayama Hot Springs), performed.

After the live performance, a karaoke contest was held by volunteers who gathered at the venue.

Rain and Bon Dancing

The rain falling on the venue gradually gains momentum.

At the beginning of the festival, there were about 50-50 people with and without umbrellas, but by this time it was raining so hard that umbrellas were a must.

At 7:30 p.m., when the rain is pouring down, the Bon Odori dance finally begins.

The three songs danced were "Tawarayama Onsen Ondo", "Tawarayama no Uta", and "Ii Yu Dana". Everyone, soaking wet from the rain, gets into the mood with a half-hearted Bon dance.

The Bon Odori dance was completed with complete combustion.

Summer Lottery

At the end of the event, there will be a gift drawing. The winners of the raffle will be selected by drawing from those who have purchased items related to Tawarayama.

The drawing has been completed up to the first prize, and the entire schedule of the Tawarayama Onsen Noryosai 2023 has now been completed. We hope the weather will be fine next year!
