Notice of Traveling Photo Exhibitions “<6> Republic of Aomi Island and Nami no Hashidate” and “<7> Nagato Blue II” by photographer Shiori Iwakura (9/1-10/10)

The " <6> Republic of Aomi Island and Nami no Hashidate " and " <7> NAGATO BLUE II" of the " Traveling Photo Exhibition: Photographer Shiori Iwakura's NAGATO Photo Journey " started on September 1 (Wed.), 2012.

The sixth venue, " <6> Republic of Aomi Island and Nami no Hashidate," will feature works focusing on the "light" that Shiori Iwakura found during her exploration of the school.

The venue is the " Republic of Qinghai Island, " a closed elementary school building that has been used as a center for exchange with local residents. Photographs are displayed in the classrooms where the filming actually took place.

The seventh venue is the "Nagato City Tourist Information Center YUKUTE" where the exhibition is always on display during this event.

The third exhibit, " <7> Nagato Blue II," presents the second installment of "Nagato Blue" as expressed by Shiori Iwakura.

Since " <4> Cruise to Qinghai Island " will also be on display until September 15 (Wed.), the three venues will be open simultaneously for approximately two weeks. Please take this opportunity to tour all three venues.

About the project

This event is a collaborative project between " NICO STOP," a photo lifestyle web magazine operated by Nikon Imaging Japan Inc. and " YUKUTE PHOTO," a photo project. The exhibition is a collaborative project between "Nikostop" and the photo project "YUKUTE PHOTO.

This website provides information on Shiori Iwakura's "Nagato Photo Journey" with documentary photos.

At the traveling photo exhibition, photographer Shiori Iwakura will offer novelty gifts featuring photos taken during her "Nagato Photo Journey. Please note that the contents of the gifts will differ at each venue.
