Two days to enjoy art and food

The "Renesa Nagato Art Market Festival" was held at Renesa Nagato on March 2 (Sat.) and 3 (Sun.).

This is an annual event held to commemorate the anniversary of the opening of Renessa Nagano (March 4, 2000). The festival has been known as the "Thanks Festival," but from this year it will be held under the name of the "Art Market Festival.

This year, more than 100 stores from "Mojiko GRANDMARKET" gathered in the arena in addition to "Art Market Renaissa," an artists' market held for the fourth time.

In one corner of the arena, "Anpan Park," which is gaining popularity in Kitakyushu City, will also be held.

Anpan (bean-jam buns) as well as other visually appetizing breads were gathered, and stores with long lines were seen.

Several kitchen cars gathered outside the venue, and the lineup was so extensive that it was hard to decide what to eat.

Artistic space

The venue, where artists of various genres, mainly from Yamaguchi Prefecture, gather, is an enjoyable space just to look around.

Hanru's herbarium looked even better in the light coming in through the large windows.

Hirofumi Nakano, who is in charge of the Tawarayama area of the Regional Development Cooperation Volunteers, introduced the "Kemonomichi PROJECT," including coin purses and business card holders made from deer leather, as well as accessories using antlers created by accessory artist Ranunculus.

The photo-worthy layout on the table makes you stop and look.

Tsuda Farm, a tourist orchard in Tawarayama, sells wine, semi-dried fruits, and cheesecakes that bring out the flavor of the pear and berry ingredients. COFFEE & ROASTER YAMA, which sells home-roasted coffee, also in Tawarayama, served carefully dripped coffee next to its baked goods store, Eucalyptus and Taiyou, as well as its actual store.

The golden-colored bottle that suddenly caught my eye was honey.

The group selling "raw honey," which is said to be high in nutritional value, was the "Village Agricultural Research Association," and this honey was from the mountains in the Misumi district of Nagato City. They were also preparing for a woodworking workshop where participants could make their own original spoons by shaving wood.

And the pleasure of experiencing it.

A yoga workshop was being held in the rehearsal room with soothing music.

The instructor is Kanako Fujii, a yoga instructor who conducts workshops at various locations in the city.

This year's event was held in collaboration with Katsuya Togawa of FITNESS Lab thyme, who is also active in Ube and Yamaguchi.

The entire museum will be the event venue for these two days.

The Cultural Information Gallery also became a workshop venue.

At the booth of "Flower Design Yuki," run by Yuki Suenaga, a floral designer in the city, participants could try their hand at making corsages, etc. While learning the steps one by one, they enjoyed the moment when art was being created in their hands with a smile.

A special time to enjoy art, food and experiences.

This year's "Art Market Festival" attracted a total of more than 200 stores, making it the busiest two-day event ever.
