Nagato Tourism Convention Association
On Saturday, June 1, "YUKUTE PHOTO at misumi vol.2" was held in the Misumi district of Nagato City.
This is the second time this event has been held after the first one was held last November.
This time, five people from inside and outside the city participated. We chartered a cab from "Nagato City Tourist Information Center (YUKUTE)" under clear May skies to the first shooting location.
The first place we visited was the herb garden next to the " Yasuo Kouzuki Museum of Art. It was just at its best, and I took pictures while surrounded by the gentle fragrance of herbs.
At first, the participants were taking pictures individually, but gradually they seemed to get to know each other and asked each other, "How do I take a good picture? How should I set up the camera? They were conversing with each other, asking and answering questions such as, "How can I take better pictures?
Around the herb garden, there is a playground, a small hill, and a fairly large area to walk freely until noon.
They seemed to be enjoying themselves, with occasional bursts of laughter.
For lunch, we will have our first picnic. We will make preparations using food, drinks, and goods prepared here.
In the midst of all this, a surprise from the participants!
The poster stated, "Please bring your own food and drinks if you would like," and to our surprise, they brought their own homemade sweets.
Once preparations are complete, we immediately start taking pictures of things.
I was photographing the figure and found the garland.
The picnic lunch was more than the staff could have imagined.
I couldn't help but applaud the participants' sense of taste, which was beautifully arranged.
And the beginning, of course, is a toast!
Food and beverages for this event will be prepared by Lara Bakery, located at Senza Kitchen, Roadside Station.
The shiso juice was especially popular for its exquisite sweetness.
Fifteen minutes walk from the picnic location. We came to "Misumi River Park" while taking pictures.
The men went deeper into the river and the women started shooting with photographic goods.
The high temperature for the day was also 29 degrees Celsius.
The weather felt like early summer, so the women went barefoot into the river from the middle of the day.
On the way, elementary school girls also started playing in the river, and we enjoyed playing in the river together.
The Misumi River River Park also has parking space, making it a great photo spot.
Next is a walk of about 2 km.
It was a very peaceful place and participants were wondering what to photograph.
In this "YUKUTE PHOTO", we will provide the location, course, and photographic goods, but there will be no request as to "where you want us to photograph" or "what you want us to photograph".
The staff is always looking forward to seeing how the participants will capture "Nagato". It seems like an easy but difficult photo event.
In this situation, I tried to take pictures while making use of a few suggestions from the staff, such as making a dash, shooting in front of flowers, stopping at a railroad crossing, and so on.
The last place I visited was " Matsushima Kaigan.
The tour will take you from the Nohase branch of the Yamaguchi Fishing Port to the tip of the Matsushima Coast.
As soon as we arrived, we were presented with cider made from Nagato Yuzukichi.
The packaging is so cute that I had to take a picture right away.
Although there are no large sandy beaches on the "Matsushima Coast," visitors can approach the ocean or look down from the breakwater.
In season, the " Matsushima Campground " is open, and visitors can enjoy swimming at Matsushima Beach.
Walking alongside the ocean, you will reach a craggy rocky area.
For the participants, the sensation of the ocean spreading out to fill the viewfinder was a new experience.
We used up the event time and took the customary group photo at the end.
At the suggestion of a participant, we dared to shoot backward.
Another group photo has been added to the "YUKUTE PHOTO" album.
What kind of "Misumi District in Nagato City" did you photograph during the approximately 6 hours of shooting time?
We look forward to receiving photos from the participants. The photos we receive will be used to promote tourism in Nagato City.
It may not have been easy for you to hear the words "herb garden next to the museum," "Misumi River River Park," and "Matsushima Coast."
One of the participants said, "I often come to Nagato to take pictures, but I had never been to Misumi before, so I joined the tour. Just from the photos so far, we hope that you have learned that Misumi has many photo shooting spots.
It is a great location because the ocean becomes more and more beautiful from early summer.
In this way, "YUKUTE PHOTO" is held with the aim of discovering and disseminating information about Nagato, which is still unknown.
The small-group nature of the event allows participants to get to know each other quickly, making it an easy photo event to attend.
This time, our staff also participated in the photo shoot and took many pictures.
In addition to this article, photos are also available on the Instagram account " YUKUTE @ Nagato City Tourist Information Center YUKUTE ".
We are also planning to hold the next event under the theme of "XX (season) to spend in Nagato," although the timing of the next event has not yet been decided.
You can catch the latest information quickly on Instagram. If you are interested in participating in "YUKUTE PHOTO," please follow us.
Then I look forward to the day when I can shoot at Nagato with you all again.
