Recent research has proven that this is because the antioxidant effect of hot water (the ability to reverse oxidation that causes aging and disease) is at its highest during the winter months. This is because the antioxidant effect of hot water is at its highest during the winter months. Antioxidant action is expressed in terms of oxidation-reduction potential (*), and while the oxidation-reduction potential of ordinary hot springs is -50 mV at best, the source (hot water outlet) of Tawarayama Onsen "Machi no Yu" is approximately -160 mV in October, indicating that it has extremely strong antioxidant action. Furthermore, in February, when the antioxidant effect reaches its maximum, the value is approximately -280 mV!

(*) Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP). +The + value represents the oxidizing potential of the object and the - value represents the reducing potential (antioxidant effect) of the object. Unit is mV.

In addition to warming the body, it is also a cure for illness and injury, as well as an anti-aging treatment! Please experience Tawarayama Onsen in February, when the effects are at their maximum!
