Nanavi staff will guide you to cherry blossom spots in the city.
On March 25 (Sat) and April 1 (Sat), "Nanavi Photo Walk: "Let's Go Take Cherry Blossom Photos" Edition" was held. This is one of the "Nagatrip 2023 Spring," a collection of limited experience programs to enjoy Nagato City in spring. Participants will visit cherry blossom spots in the city and take pictures together with the photography staff of "Nanavi," a tourism website. This article reports on each of the two days.
Saturday, March 25
Ojisan Park
It was cloudy early in the morning, but by the time we reached Ojiyama Park, the morning sun was shining and we were able to enjoy not only the cherry blossoms but also the bright blue sea and sky.
Misumi River Park
The spot was lined with cherry trees along the bank, and the cherry blossoms were just in full bloom.
Demizu River Erosion Control Park
This spot is located on a little mountain side in the Misumi district. The blooming was in progress here, and we could see a blizzard of cherry blossoms.
JR Shibuki Station
The single cherry tree in front of the station building was an eye-catching spot, also in full bloom.
Daineiji Temple
Although it gradually became cloudy, the day was crowded with people.
Nagato Yumoto Hot Spring Resort
As with Daneiji, the flowers are in bloom, and visitors enjoy taking pictures in the back alleys as well as in the hot spring resort area. Tea time was also set aside for visitors to enjoy delicious drinks and waffles from the long-established local restaurant, Yoshitomi Koshindo.
Saturday, April 1
Prefectural Theater Renessa Nagato
The day was clear and sunny. The cherry trees along the river were in full bloom and the beautiful morning sun was shining through.
Guanzuki River Park
The river park is also a cherry blossom viewing spot and is visited by many locals. We also enjoyed the reflections of the rows of cherry trees on the river surface.
JR Shibuki Station
The lone cherry tree in front of the station building has begun to fall. Occasionally, a snowstorm of cherry blossoms is dancing in the air.
Nagato Yumoto Hot Spring Resort
The cherry blossoms here were just beginning to fall, and we were able to take pictures of the elegant hot spring resort.
Daineiji Temple
Continuing from the previous visit, Daneiji Temple was full of cherry blossom-viewing visitors. The cherry blossoms were shining in the sunlight shining through the trees.
The "Nanavi Photo Walk: Cherry Blossom Edition" was blessed with fine weather on both days, keeping the cherry blossoms in full bloom, so we were able to take pictures under good conditions. We think the participants were pleased with the content of the event, which introduced both typical and hidden spots in Nagato. We plan to hold more "Nanavi Photo Walks" with various themes in the future, so we hope you will join us!
