Club activities for adults who enjoy "sending out messages

On Friday, October 4, the inauguration ceremony of Nagato City Promotion Department "Te-Te-Te-Nagato" was held at the Nagato City Shigoto Center. This is an "adult's club" initiative led by citizens to promote the city's attractions to the world through social networking services.

The first group of students were 17 people of different ages and occupations. On this day, they were first handed a letter of appointment and introduced themselves one by one.

Whether you love photography or have a strong desire to communicate something, a photography and writing skills course was also held on this day to encourage everyone's desire to do so.

First, Ryohei Horiyuu, who edits the Hiroshima lifestyle magazine "FLAG!", will teach us about the different characteristics of Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, which are the same SNS, and tips for writing and hashtagging to reach more people with information.

Even the club members who have always used all social networking services seemed surprised, saying that they had never thought this far ahead.

The baton then passed to Akiko Nakano, a photographer based in Hiroshima.

This course is designed to teach more practical techniques on the subject of photography with smartphones.

As subjects, each participant was given a bottle of Nagato Yuzukichi Cider, which is sold at Senza Kitchen, a roadside station.

Through the course of taking pictures while sitting in a chair, students learned how to use basic camera functions, such as brightness correction and how to achieve a more blurred background.

After familiarizing yourself with the operations, it is time to learn "composition" which is important for taking better-looking photos.

In addition to cider, club members take pictures of each other and receive advice from Mr. Nakano.

As the freedom of the assignment increases, the members of the club spend more time thinking about how to shoot.

When the instructor comments on the "good" in it, "Yes! and a smile plays on your face.

The next day, fieldwork was conducted in the Senzaki area, where club members practiced the tips they had just learned around the Senza Kitchen at the Roadside Station.

Active on Facebook and Instagram

In the future, "Te-Te-Te-Nagato" will use common SNS (Facebook and Instagram) accounts to communicate the charms of Nagato City, including its scenery, food, lifestyle, and people. Please follow us and enjoy Nagato City captured from various perspectives.
