Learn about the outdoors in the Aburatani area and Nagato Yumoto's community development efforts

On Wednesday, October 14, the third and fourth sessions of the "Nagato Tourism Concierge" seminar, a program to develop human resources capable of providing the unique hospitality of Nagato City, were held.

Nagato Tourism and Culture Seminar Part 3: "Outdoor Activities in the Aburatani Area" (Lecturer: Shinji Takahashi)

The lecturer was Mr. Shinji Takahashi, a member of the "Yuya Outdoor Club" whose main field of activity is the sea in the Aburatani area. He spoke about the joy and richness of playing in the sea and mountains of Nagano through their activities.

During the lecture, some participants were surprised to see "other aspects" of Nagato's scenery that can only be seen from small boats such as sea kayaks.

Nagato Tourism and Culture Seminar Part 4: "Shinju no Yu: The History and Town Development of Nagato Yumoto Onsen" (Lecturer: Hayato Kimura)

The second half of the lecture was given by Mr. Hayato Kimura, who was involved in the town planning of Nagato Yumoto Onsen Machi, which was renewed this spring, and is now the area manager of Nagato Yumoto Onsen Machi Co.

In his talk, he reintroduced the renewal of Nagato Yumoto Onsen and its attractions, and also discussed future prospects, such as initiatives planned for the future.
