Notice of “OTONOBURIKAWA UTA AKARI 2021 – GENSHOKU RINBUN” (1/30-2/28)

Otoshinagawa Utaakari, a winter festival in Nagato Yumoto Onsen

From January 30 (Sat) to February 28 (Sun), " Onshin River Utaakari 2021 - Genkan Rinkai" will be held to enjoy the winter in Nagato Yumoto Onsen.

First held in the winter before last, this year's event is the third. This is an event in which the Nagato Yumoto hot spring resort is decorated with lights inspired by the poems of Misuzu Kaneko, a children's song poet from Senzaki, Nagato City.

This year's event, titled "Utaakari: Phantom Dance, Misuzu's Garden," will feature a special light performance to accompany the narration of poems and music, as well as approximately 3,000 new motifs created by children and students in the city.

Nagato Yumoto Onsen, which reopened last spring, will create a special scene in its first winter.

On Saturdays during the festival, some stores in the spa town will also extend their opening hours to sell warm take-out food and drinks.

We invite you to experience this quiet winter event where you can contemplate the world of "poetry" while viewing the lighted scenery.
