On November 30 (Thu), "Nagato City Tourism Design Wrapping Truck" was unveiled at the Misumi Plant of Fujimitsu Co.
Prior to the unveiling, the car was purified at the Misumi Hachimangu Shrine in the Misumi district of Nagato City to pray for traffic safety.
The wrapped truck delivered today (11/30) is a 4-ton refrigerated/freezer truck, and delivery will be made mainly in the Fukuoka and Hiroshima areas.
The wrapping will be applied to the rear and both sides of the truck. The three chosen locations are Motonosumi Shrine, a representative tourist spot of Nagato City, Nagato Yumoto Hot Spring, which will be renewed in spring 2020, and the Senzaki townscape viewed from Ojiyama Park.
This is the second time a transportation truck has been wrapped. It was created jointly by Chilled Express Corporation, Fujimitsu Corporation, and Nagato City to boost the tourism industry, which has been severely depressed by the new coronavirus.
Fujimitsu Kaifudo also created gift-wrapping cardboard for this summer's mid-year gift-giving season in order to bring the beautiful scenery and tastes of Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, to those who cannot easily return to their hometowns or visit the city due to the Corona disaster. Currently, they are using this gift-wrapping cardboard as the cardboard for year-end gifts (only some products are eligible for this service).
The wrapped truck will first depart for Tosu City, Saga Prefecture, as a running billboard starting tomorrow, December 1 (Wed.). We hope that everyone who sees it will be inspired to visit Nagato City.
