Haiku Prize-winning Works

Yuzukichi no yolk over the hill Ginkgo biloba yolk

When I came up the Daneiji Pass, the first thing I noticed were the yuzukichi and yellow-leafed gingko trees. Tawarayama is known as the production center of Nagato yuzukichi, and the yellow leaves of the gingko trees at Noumanji Temple are also beautiful. The yellow color of the gingko trees at Nouman-ji Temple also makes a strong impression.

The scent of yuzu melts into the blue sky

We had been worried about the weather, but it turned out to be a perfect day for walking. The fresh aroma of yuzu citrons spread out into the blue sky as if they were melting into the sky. The clear blue sky and the bright color of the yuzu trees create a beautiful view of Tawarayama.

Fluttering Autumn Leaves Falling Down

The yellow leaves of the nankin sumac and gingko trees that had been beautifully turning red have almost half fallen off. The remaining leaves are fluttering down from their branches. The honest eye captures a page of early winter in this melancholy poem.
