Instagram Live for Nagato's Food Attraction

Today (Saturday, November 18, 2023), "Tasan Shima's Hometown Kitchen" was broadcast live on Nagato City's official Instagram page in the Senzaki district. This is a project in which Tasan Shima, who has appeared in various media as a "legendary housekeeper," actually cooks Nagato's ingredients and promotes the charm of Nagato's colors. Tasan Shima is from Nagato City, and last year she was appointed as a "Nagato Food Ambassador" to promote the food charms of Nagato City. This article brings you photos of the day's events.

First, go shopping at "Roadside Station Senza Kitchen".

At 9:00 in the morning, Shima visited Senza Kitchen at Michi no Eki (Roadside Station) to buy ingredients at the direct sales counter. This time, the theme was "cooking one meal with what is sold at Senza Kitchen. She selected local fresh vegetables, fresh fish, and Choshu chicken.

After shopping, the ingredients are organized and ready for delivery. The delivery was held at the Italian restaurant "Comeraza " located near "Senza Kitchen".

Preparations are complete and at 11:00 a.m., the delivery finally begins.

The dishes will be served to two guests chosen from the applicants.

Ms. Okamoto, a Nagato City employee, appeared at the delivery as the host and assistant. In fact, Okamoto-san is a classmate of Shima-san.

The program runs smoothly, with the two reminiscing.

(The "Shima-san Apron" is a special apron made by Shima-san.

As Shima-san deftly prepared the dishes, he shared a variety of stories, from explanations of the menus he was preparing to the appeal of Nagato's ingredients, cooking tips, and even his own thoughts on cooking.

Four dishes were completed in about an hour! All of the dishes turned out to be delicious.

The two guests were delighted to see Shima-san's cooking right in front of them. They looked happy throughout the event, saying, "I was so impressed to see Shima-san's cooking up close and personal, and even more so to be able to eat it! They looked happy from start to finish.
