Nagato City in Yamaguchi Prefecture is located within the Kita-Nagato Kaigan National Park on the Sea of Japan coast, and offers a variety of marine sports in the beautiful cobalt blue sea. Every year, various sea-related events are held in Nagato in summer, including a "Yacht Race" around Aomi Island, a "Kids Triathlon" and a "Yacht Race Watching Cruise!
