Ping-pong tournament using a kamaboko board!
Nagato City in Yamaguchi Prefecture is a fish cake production area. This is where a new sport called "Kamaboko-ita-kyu," a ping-pong tournament using a kamaboko board, was born. Speaking of ping-pong, hot springs are also a good place to play ping-pong! The Senzaki Kamaboko Itakyu Tournament will be held at Nagato Yumoto Onsen. In front of the venue, there will be booths selling specialties of Nagato City such as tempura, chikuwa, yakitori, karaage, udon noodles, etc. In addition, the "Kamaboko-ita Tower Championship" (a competition to see how many layers of kamaboko boards can be stacked in 30 seconds) will be held simultaneously, in which anyone can participate!
