The 65th Nagato Senzaki Fireworks Festival was held on July 22 (Mon.) along the Senzaki coastline.

The event was originally scheduled to be held on Saturday, the 20th, but was postponed to this date due to the typhoon. The "Yosakoi Performance" and other events such as kids' dancing, which had been one of the most popular attractions for the past several years, were cancelled due to the postponement.

Nevertheless, the sight of stalls lining the pedestrianized prefectural roads remains the same as usual, and people continue to gather in the evening, creating a festive atmosphere.

At Senza Kitchen, a roadside station that has been open for two summers since its opening, the food court "Senzaki Bar" was open for extended hours and crowded with people tasting yakitori, seafood, and other local products of the city.

In front of the direct sales booths, there are also booths where visitors can enjoy a wide variety of food such as cotton candy, gelato, tapioca drinks, and more. The tourist information center, YUKUTE, was also a popular place to visit, where visitors could win tickets to stay at a hot spring hotel, local sake, and other prizes.

Then at 8:30 p.m., the fireworks display began.

This year, 4,000 fireworks, 1,000 more than last year, were launched at the largest fireworks display in Nagato City.

The fireworks were displayed in two parts, and colored the night sky for a total of 30 minutes.

In the end, the biggest ring of the day was launched, and the venue was filled with cheers and applause from everyone looking up.

Festivals and events will continue to be held throughout the city this summer.

We hope you will find the details from the "Summer Event Special" and refer to them for your outing.
