First, we visited Motonosumi Shrine, famous for its spectacular view.
Since the shrine is currently closed for worship and visitors are not allowed to enter the precincts, they were able to view it from outside the precincts.
Blessed with clear skies, we could clearly see the blue of the sky and sea, the red of the torii gate, and the green costal last of the grass and trees.
With 123 torii gates lined up against the majestic natural backdrop, it is one of Nagato's representative tourist attractions, known for its spectacular viewpoints.
For details, see the watch page " Motonosumi Shrine.
At the same location as Motonosumi Shrine, there is a spot called " Ryugu no Siofuki," a natural phenomenon that can be seen when the sea is rough due to northeasterly winds or winter monsoons.
The weather conditions were right for this day, and we were able to see the "spouting tide phenomenon" blowing high in the air.
I was impressed by the way he looked through the viewfinder the whole time so as not to miss the moment of blowing up.
Walking up to the rocks for a closer look at the Sea of Japan, visitors marveled at the unusual experience of the shore, the horizon, and the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks before their eyes.
A "spouting tide phenomenon" occurs when violent waves caused by strong winds enter a rock pit. It is often seen during the winter season.
For more information, please see the " Tidal Wave of the Dragon Palace " page.
When we had finished taking all the pictures, we came across a "rainbow" that appeared at the moment when the "Dragon Palace Tide Blow" was successfully blown up.
When it would appear depended on timing, and as with the "Dragon Palace Squirrel," I kept looking through the viewfinder and waiting for that moment.
After leaving Motonosumi Shrine, we drove about 10 minutes to " Senjojiki, " which is 333 meters above sea level and offers a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan.
The change in height provides a different view of the same Sea of Japan.
The blue of the sky and the sea spread across the entire area. As you proceed to the back of the building, you will see a large windmill in front of you.
The couple was moved by the sight they could not normally see and enjoyed the panoramic view to the fullest.
This is a high plateau with a grassy meadow on the summit of a 333-meter-high mountain. On a clear day, a panoramic view of the sea and sky fills the field of vision, creating a spectacular open-air view.
For details, please see the " SENJIATATATSUKI " page.
In the afternoon, after dining at " Senzaki Honmaru " in " Roadside Station Senza Kitchen, " board the " Aomi Island Sightseeing Steamer " at 13:30.
On this day, the "Hanatsu-ura and Shijin-ura Course (duration: approximately 50 minutes)" headed for "Hanatsu-ura," the front gateway to Qinghai Island, when it is impossible to go out to the open sea due to waves, and then made a U-turn and cruised to "Shijin-ura".
I immediately opened the window and started to take pictures, but the announcement said, "Please close the window in the direction you are heading now, as there is a possibility of splashing waves.
As we approached "Hanatsuura" as announced, the sound of the boat hitting the waves and the tilt of the boat became so intense that I could barely hold my camera up.
Looking at the window, you can clearly see that the wave spray is up to the ceiling.
The sea at Shitsuura, where the course changed direction, was calm, a stark contrast to the previous course.
The two photographers were looking at both the ocean side and the island side, taking pictures as they pleased.
The sightseeing boat allows you to enjoy the scenery of Qinghai Island from the boat. There are five different courses that can be enjoyed depending on the sea conditions, with the "Cheonghae Island Round-the-Island Course" as the basic course that circles the island.
For details, please see the " Qinghai Island Tourist Steamship " page.
After disembarking, the couple wanted to "take pictures of the sea," so they went to " Sawayaka Beach" near "Roadside Station Senza Kitchen.
They have been enjoying the ocean in various parts of the city since this morning, but they have not yet taken enough pictures.
We even heard some people say, "We'd love to include a model in this location for a shoot in the summer."
This is the beach where Misuzu Kaneko wrote in her poem that "Hanatsuura" can be seen on the other side shining in the beautiful sunset.
For details, please see the " Refreshing Coast " page.
For more ocean, we visited " Matsushima Kaigan" located about 20 minutes by car from "Sawayaka Kaigan.
They were photographed from various angles in front of the crystal clear ocean.
The sea is often associated with "summer," but the "Sea of Nagano" is crystal clear year-round, so you can see the beautiful sea regardless of the season.
It is a scenic beach surrounded by the great nature of the Kita-Nagato Kaigan National Park.
For details, please see the " Matsushima Coast " page.
The two photographers had taken their fill of "Nagato no Umi" (the sea of Nagato). The next objective shifted to "sunset" as the sun was setting.
Sunset time is before 18:00. Since I had some time before then, I went to the " Nami no Hashidate " viewpoint on Qinghai Island.
Some switched to telephoto lenses, saying, "The glow is beautiful," while others focused on the rape blossoms in the foreground, capturing the scenery from their own perspectives.
It is one of the "Eight Views of Senzaki" by Misuzu Kaneko.
For details, see the Watch page " Nami no Hashidate ".
The final spot was a 20-minute drive from Nami no Hashidate. We visited the "Tong area" located at the far end of Qinghai Island.
At this time of the day, many clouds developed in the direction of the setting sun. Nevertheless, the light and sky colors were so beautiful that the shutter sounded.
The distance traveled by the two on this day was approximately 120 km.
Starting and ending at Tawarayama Onsen in Nagato City, we toured seven spots, taking side trips here and there.
As we watched the couple engrossed in their photo shoot, we were able to recognize once again the many photo spots that exist in Nagato City.
In the next fiscal year, we plan to create a " Nagato Experience Program "Nagatrip" tour to visit photo spots, using this new route as a guide.
We hope you look forward to the day when the first photo tour is born in Nagato City, where a car is essential to visit photo spots.
The photos they took during their work vacation are posted on their respective social networking sites. Please take a look at how they took pictures of Nagato City.
