Become a Blue Santa, pick up trash and hunt for treasure

Blue Santa Claus, or "Blue Santa," appears every year on Marine Day throughout Japan. In appreciation of the bounty of the sea, a nationwide coastal cleanup is held simultaneously. In Nagato City, the cleanup will be held at "Akaya no Hama" beach in Aburaya-Kakusan. Let's all become Blue Santa Claus and enjoy treasure hunting with garbage.

Event Details

[Date & Time] July 16, 2018 (Monday, national holiday) Gather at 16:00 Start at 16:15 until around 17:45 *A little rain will be fine
[Place] Akaya no Hama (under Akaya Restaurant "Kusa" in Aburaya Kakuyama, Nagato City)
[Fee] Free *Please be accompanied by a guardian for elementary school students and younger
[Bring] Water, towel, hat (please take your own heat protection)

*Blue Santa costumes are only available for those who sign up by June 15 (applications without costumes are also accepted until July 12).
