Kaneko Misuzu Memorial Museum

A memorial museum on Misuzu Senzaki Street that conveys the gentle spirit of Misuzu Kaneko.

In April 2003, the 100th anniversary of Misuzu's birth, the "Misuzu Kaneko Memorial Museum" opened on the site of the bookstore where Misuzu spent her childhood, Kaneko Bun'eido. This memorial hall not only serves as a memorial to trace the footsteps of Misuzu and honor her achievements, which have been revived more than 50 years after her death, but also as an exchange center to support the cultural and creative activities of local residents and Misuzu fans visiting from all over Japan. The building and garden of Kaneko Bun'eido have been restored on the frontage facing Misuzu Street, and the main building at the back of the building is equipped with a permanent exhibition room displaying her artifacts such as her manuscript collection (replica) and scraps of kimono, a PC-based material search room, and Misuzu Gallery where visitors can experience the world of her poetry through sound and light, allowing them to remember Misuzu's life and the times she lived. Visitors can remember the life of Isuzu and the times in which she lived.
