Entry to the precincts and torii gate will be prohibited from April 1, 2020.
Motonosumi Shrine, located in Aburiyatsukou, Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, will be "closed" from April 1, 2020, for the time being to prevent the spread of the new type of coronavirus and to repair the aging torii gate and approach road. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of August.
The shrine can still be viewed from the surrounding roads and from the "Ryugu no Siofuki" side, and the parking lot and Motonosumi store can be used as usual.
Tourist information on the area after April 1, 2020
