On January 21, Dondon-yaki was held at Dainihi on Aomi Island.
At exactly 8:00 a.m., all the New Year's men and women lit the fire at once, and the flames engulfed the Dondondon. The wind was just right this year, and the Dondondon was burnt down in about 3 to 4 minutes.
