A cycling event set in the cobalt blue sea and karst plateau!

This cycling event will be held on the beautiful cobalt blue Sea of Japan on the San'in side of Yamaguchi Prefecture, the spectacular viewpoints of the Higashi Gohata terraced rice fields, selected as one of the 100 best terraced rice fields, and the vast and beautiful karst road in Akiyoshidai. At each aid point, delicious local food awaits you, making this an event where you can fully enjoy "spectacular scenery" and "food. The course is approximately 114 km, and you can enjoy riding through the spectacular scenery from the mountains to the sea.

precautions

Measurement

This is a cycling event, not a timed or ranked event, and no measurements will be taken.

 

Car type

Any type of car is acceptable. Please use a car that you are accustomed to driving.

You can also participate by renting a bicycle from Senza Kitchen Tourist Information Center (YUKUTE) (cross bike, electric-assisted bike, MTB for children). (Cross bikes, electric bicycles, MTBs for children) If you wish to rent a bike, please apply for it at the time of entry. However, the number of bicycles is limited.

 

Equipment

1. Please wear the necessary equipment for riding on public roads, such as front and rear brakes, bells, reflectors (tail lights are acceptable), and lights, as required by law. Helmets and gloves must be worn for safety reasons.

The use of vehicles equipped with DH bars or only DH bars is prohibited.

 

Car inspection

All participants in this event are required to have their bicycles inspected at the nearest bicycle specialty store prior to the event.

A vehicle inspection certificate will be sent together with the entry guide in advance. Please have your bicycle inspected at a specialized bicycle store and bring it to the registration desk.

◇Cargo

Please be sure to carry a flat tire repair kit, drinking bottle, ration, tools, small change, and a copy of your health insurance card. A cell phone is also recommended. In addition, please bring rain gear and other items you deem necessary.

 

 

◇Precautions for driving

1. This event will be held on public roads without traffic control. All traffic signals must be obeyed and all traffic laws must be followed.

The course includes some tunnels. Please be sure to turn on your lights when passing through.

The course is narrow in some sections. When passing or passing each other, please do not drive too hard, and be sure to pass safely by pulling out or letting other vehicles pass ahead of you.

4. The leader should never overtake the lead staff.

All participants will not start at the same time. After the registration, start checks and individual starts will be conducted within the designated time for each course.

Please ride in single file on the left side of the road in a group of no more than 5 riders.

If you are unable to complete the race within the time limit, or if the organizer determines during the event that there is a problem with the continuation of the event, please immediately follow the organizer’s instructions to stop running. The organizers plan to set a passing time limit at each aid point. Please follow the organizer’s instructions for safety management and event operation.

Cheering vehicles are not allowed to enter (accompany) the course. If a cheering vehicle is found entering (accompanying) the course, the cheerer will be disqualified from the competition.

The use of aids by non-runners is prohibited.

If you must retire for any reason, please notify the event staff and follow their instructions. If you retire without notifying us, the race headquarters may contact your emergency contact to confirm your safety.

In the event of a traffic accident between participants or with other vehicles, please contact the event headquarters and staff immediately and follow their instructions.

Participants who do not follow the road traffic laws, precautions, staff instructions, etc. will be immediately stopped from driving and banned from participating in the next and subsequent competitions, etc.

 

◇Consideration for local residents

Cycling trails will be on the roads used by local residents. Please be careful not to ride too fast when passing through narrow streets. Also, please put any trash you bring with you, such as masks, rations, PET bottles, etc., in a plastic bag and take it home with you. As a cyclist, please be sure to help preserve the environment.

 

Handling of Participation Fee

No refunds will be made for personal reasons after the entry fee has been paid.

 

Others

1. In the event that the event cannot be held as scheduled due to inclement weather or other reasons, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the event at its discretion. If the event is cancelled, we will contact you at the contact information (e-mail address*) you registered at the time of application.

Substitute runners other than the applicant are strictly prohibited.

3. First aid will be provided for any accidents during the event, but we will not be responsible for any subsequent treatment.

The organizers will provide one-day recreation insurance for all event participants, but will not be responsible for any further compensation. If you are concerned about the coverage, we recommend that you purchase your own insurance.

5. Bicycles and accompanying equipment are to be managed at your own risk. The organizer will not be responsible for any theft or damage.

6. In the event of a flat tire or other malfunction, repair must be done by each participant in principle. (Please carry tire levers, spare tubes, pumps, and necessary tools.)

There may be a charge for repairs by the organizer’s staff (including staff riders, support bikes, and support cars). Please pay at the finish line. Some types of breakdowns cannot be repaired.

 

≪Terms and Conditions

All applicants must agree to the following terms and conditions before applying for this tournament.

1. I understand and will abide by the tournament guidelines and participate in the tournament.

I will have my bicycle inspected at a bicycle store prior to the race to ensure that it is properly maintained, and will submit the inspection certificate at the registration desk.

3. I have no heart disease or illness, and will take good care of my health and participate in the tournament at my own risk for injury, accident, loss, etc.

In the event of an accident in which I am the victim or the aggressor, regardless of the cause, I will handle the accident at my own responsibility and will not hold the organizer or any other person concerned responsible.

I will not make any claim for compensation other than the insurance coverage provided by the organizer in the event that I am injured or become ill during the tournament, or in the event that I suffer permanent injury or death as a result of such injury or illness.

6. In the event of injury or illness during the event, I am willing to receive first aid. I will not hold the organizer responsible for the method or course of treatment.

7. I will not seek a refund of the entry fee in the event of cancellation for personal reasons after entry has been completed, or in the event of cancellation or curtailment of the event due to inclement weather, earthquake, accident, incident, illness, etc.

8. my family/relatives/guardians (if the participant is a minor) give their consent to participate in this tournament.

9. I authorize the use of photographs and names of participants taken during the event for advertising and media coverage of the event.

The organizer will handle participants’ personal information in strict compliance with laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal information. In addition, personal information will be used for the purpose of providing information on participation in future cycling events organized or co-sponsored by Nagato City.
